Open Text Corporation, the global independent leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), has announced plans to expand its suite of next-generation Web solutions with products and technologies from recently acquired Vignette playing a central role. Offered as part of the Open Text ECM Suite, the solutions will help organizations establish deeper connections to customers and use the Web as a channel for new revenues. Quickly evolving social networking, digital media, and mobile applications are moving the Web beyond brand promotion to become a core component of business strategy. Earlier this year, Open Text also acquired Toronto-based Vizible Corporation, a privately held maker of award-winning digital media interface solutions delivered via a publishing platform that enables content syndication and analytics. The addition of Vizible expands Open Text's fast growing set of Digital Media solutions, which help companies manage rich-media content such as video, audio, graphics, and photography. Vizible's solutions provide the ability to create a rich, 3-D navigation experience for traditional media and the ability to deliver content across a range of display devices. The presentation of content is driven by rules that users can personalize so that each viewer's experience can be different. Vizible's solutions tie well with the ever changing world of multi-platform content consumption across the web -- via cell phones, PDAs, and Web browsers. Companies can use the solution to offer easily embeddable, branded rich media content on a wide range of sites, from partner or retailer sites, to Facebooks, to blogs.
