Pilgrim Software, a leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management software solutions, has announced the availability of SmartDesigner™ and SmartEngineer™. SmartDesigner is being launched with the release of SmartSolve 8.2; SmartEngineer is sold as an add-on to Pilgrim's Document Management solution. 

 

SmartDesigner is a web-based solution that provides the ability to tailor out-of-the-box SmartSolve® applications, or even create a new application process driven by forms and built-in workflows. The solution allows customers to create an "unlimited number of applications" with a single centralized platform. It offers flexibility ranging from simple form property changes to drag-and-drop form controls, creating dynamic pages, managing translations, and task-based workflows supporting 21 CFR Part 11 and audit trails.

 

SmartEngineer is an optional solution designed to integrate Engineering with Quality, Change Management, and Compliance. The technology enables companies to manage 3-D and 2-D CAD models of PTC PRO/E® within their Pilgrim Document Management solution. Traditional CAD programs do not comprehensively integrate with an overall quality and compliance management system, making it difficult for engineers to track changes and share information. As a result, organizations are exposed to regulatory risk, decreased efficiency, and increased expenses. With SmartEngineer, all parts of the organization and management can easily stay abreast of changes, escalations, and action items, making it easier to manage new product innovation and expedite time to market.
